New Year 2002 in the land of surrealism

Grand Place, Brussels – New Year 2002

When I started this blog, in December 2001, I used Blogger. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the content somewhere along the evolution through RadioUserland and finally on to MT. (I’ve now found the Blogger archives, but MT doesn’t seem to like them – gotta look some more into that).

But I remember blogging from the EasyInternet cafe in a deserted central Brussels on a freezing New Year’s Day, about the surreal illuminated farmyard animals in Grand Place.

And here they are – for no good reason, but I hadn’t had the film developed, because it was stuck at the back of one of my desk drawers.

  1. Wow, first I get to hear about you via our Nick Usborne in BC, Canada and then I find you are an “habitue” of Bruxelles. The facts that I am half Canadian, half Belgian and live in the UK are of course entirely unconnected.

Now, don’t tell me you’re a business writer too. I couldn’t stand that many coincidences.

    Or could I?

Yours puzzled (and pleased to meetchya!)
