I have one more piece to write for Changes. This issue will be a bit different from recent issues, where there’s been a definite online flavour.
So this time the content is very much about basic copywriting strategies that can be applied successfully in different media.
The piece I’ve just polished a little from last week is about how you can make customers make a decision more quickly and increase your response rates. The second is probably going to be about some hardcore aspect of direct mail. One of those things that works despite its outward crudeness.
I’ve already completed the news stories and the monthly quote, so there’ll only be the spam testing and attendant re-writes, and producing the plain text version.
I know, it sounds batty when you first come across the idea, but writing the HTML version straight into the template using Word, and then producing the easier plain text version is quicker and less trouble than writing plain text and then formatting it in an HTML editor.
Oh, and the sun’s out, and I’m stuck in my office. So please think of me if the weather’s good where you are.
